Bontado gives you the technology to take orders directly from your own website, Facebook page, or a free Bontado-generated restaurant website — you remain in control of your restaurant, your menu, and your relationship with your diners. By creating an account and using our system, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
To set up your account and provide our online ordering system, we collect the following categories of information:
Account and Owner Information: the name, email address, phone number, and login credentials of the restaurant owner and any staff members you invite to manage the account.
Restaurant and Business Information: your restaurant name, address, service and delivery areas, opening hours, cuisine types, logo and images, and the website or Facebook page where you install your ordering button.
Menu and Configuration Data: the items, categories, variations, add-ons, prices, descriptions, ordering methods (delivery / pickup / reservation), and settings you configure.
Order and Payment Configuration: the orders and reservations placed through your ordering system, and the payment gateway details you connect so that your diners can pay you online.
Usage and Device Data: how you interact with the restaurant dashboard, including IP address, device type, browser, and log data.
2. YOUR DINERS’ INFORMATION
When a diner places an order or reservation through your Bontado-powered ordering system, we process their details (such as name, contact number, delivery address, and order contents) on your behalf so that the order reaches you and can be fulfilled. For this diner data, you are the data controller and Bontado acts as your processor. We use your diners’ data only to operate your ordering system and do not use it to market other restaurants. You are responsible for maintaining your own terms and privacy notice for your diners.
3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the information we collect to: create, verify, and manage your account; run your online ordering and reservation system and the ordering widget or Bontado-generated website; process orders and pass payments to you through your connected payment gateway; provide support; send you service, billing, and (where you have opted in) product-update communications; detect and prevent fraud or misuse; and comply with our legal obligations.
4. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
We share information only as needed to provide the service:
Payment Gateways: order and payment information is shared with the payment provider you connect, so that your diners’ payments go directly to you. Bontado does not take a commission from your orders.
Service Providers: we use trusted providers for hosting, maps and location, and email/SMS notifications, who process data only on our instructions.
Legal and Regulatory Authorities: where required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Bontado, our users, or the public.
We do not sell your personal or business information, or your diners’ information, to third parties for their independent marketing purposes.
5. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY
We store your information on secured servers and apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Access to your data within Bontado is restricted to authorized personnel who need it to operate and support the service.
6. DATA RETENTION
We retain your information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with our legal, tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations. When information is no longer required, we securely delete or anonymize it.
7. YOUR RIGHTS
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of the information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to request a copy of your data.
